NEW VIDEO - "MIDNIGHT MESSIAH"
Phil's son, Matt, filmed the band on June 28th at rehearsals, when they were working
on a new song, 'Midnight Messiah'.
A big 'Thank You' goes to Matt for his hard work in editing the various camera angles
together to make the video.

MAJESTIC ROCK CEASE TRADING
Unfortunately for us, our label Majestic Rock has gone bust.
This means that not only are we without a label, but we haven't
been paid any royalties for our releases, including our new album 'Mindcreeper'.
As we financed the cost of recording 'Mindcreeper', we were hoping to recoup
those costs through our royalties to finance recording our next album.
This situation has now seriously jeopardised our plans to record a new album.
We will begin writing new material through the summer and hope that we will have
some options when the time comes to record.

NEW ELIXIR VIDEO UPLOADED ON YOUTUBE!
We have just been advised that someone has kindly uploaded  two songs, 'Pandora's Box'
and 'Son of Odin' from the 'Power Cuts' video to Youtube.
Filmed at the Leas Cliffe Hall, Folkestone, England, shortly after we had recorded
'The Son of Odin' album in 1986, you can see us as we were back then,
fresh-faced rockers looking to conquer the World!
It brings back some happy memories, so thanks to 'Stoneagelightning' for putting this up.

PHIL'S SG SUPREME GETS A CUSTOM MAKEOVER

The more eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that Phil wasn't playing his usual Cherry Red SG Standard at the Purple Turtle gig.
This was because he had picked up his SG Supreme from top guitar luthier Ray Cooper that morning, after it had undergone a makeover.
Ray has been looking after the Elixir guitars for many years now, in fact we wouldn't trust our precious axes to anyone else!

ELIXIR HAVE A NEW DEAL WITH ALPHARD

After trying out both the excellent cable and wireless vocal microphones,
Elixir are delighted to have an endorsement deal with Alphard Sound Technology.
Paul had been using a well-known, top brand, vocal microphone for many years now,
but we were amazed at how much more powerful and clearer the Alphard microphones were.
From now on, Paul will be using his Alphard microphones in rehearsals and live.
The excellent and tough flight case that houses the wireless microphone and transmitter
makes it a perfect piece of equipment to take on the road.

 'THE SON OF ODIN' VOTED ONE OF THE TOP 20 POWER METAL ALBUMS EVER!
In issue 137 (Nov 2005) of 'Terrorizer' Magazine, Elixir's debut classic album 'The Son of Odin' was included in the top 20 Power Metal
albums of all time, alongside such other greats as Judas Priest's 'Painkiller, Helloween's 'Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II'
and Cirith Ungol's 'King of the Dead'. In an article entitled 'The Pinnacles of Power' it states that "there were many, many great albums
which didn't make the final roll of honour, such is the body of excellence which has acrued since the earliest days of the scene",
and states that the 20 albums chosen "represent the pinnacle of the genre in all it's various guises".
