Midnight Messiah drummer Darren Lee has joined forces with Weapon UK to help them out with their forthcoming European shows and possibly more. Darren, Dave and Alex all have side projects and play in several other bands besides Midnight Messiah so this is not an unusual situation.
2015 has been earmarked as a year to write new material for the second Midnight Messiah album, so live shows will more than likely be limited this year, so this is an ideal way for Darren to keep his drumming up to his usual top class standard. Darren said: "Just to be clear I'm still committed to MM and looking forward to getting new songs together and doing a new album and shows etc but I feel this is a good opportunity for me that I don't want to let pass".
The currently advertised Midnight Messiah shows will still go ahead as planned.Midnight Messiah wish Darren all the best with his new project.
On another note, Midnight Messiah played through two new songs, 'The Sinner Must Die' and 'The Merry Widow' at rehearsals prior to the Christmas break, and they are sounding awesome! Paul and Phil will be working hard to finish off the new batch of songs throughout the coming months.
